Is Table only for restaurants?+
No. It runs supermarkets and mini-markets, butchers, forn and bakeries, pharmacies, phone and electronics shops, bookshops, car-parts shops, pet shops, and general retail — as well as restaurants and cafés. The parts you don't need stay switched off, so a pharmacy never sees table mode and a restaurant never sees shelf labels.
How long is the free trial?+
14 days, with no credit card. You get the full POS, exactly what the paid plan includes, not a cut-down version. Paid add-ons (online store, QR menu, extra tills) are switched on separately. If it doesn't suit your shop, you'll know before the trial ends.
Does it work in Arabic?+
Yes — Arabic and English, across the cashier screen, the owner app and the printed receipt. Each cashier picks their own language, so an Arabic cashier and an English manager can share one till. The customer menu and online store also come in French. The built-in help assistant also answers in Lebanese Arabic, including by voice.
Can I run more than one till?+
Yes. Each register keeps its own cash box, its own shift and its own end-of-day Z-report, and they never share a balance — so a shortfall belongs to one till, not to the whole shop. Each device chooses its register in Settings.
What if my staff don't know how to use it?+
There's a help assistant built into the app. They ask it a question — typed or spoken, in Lebanese Arabic or English — and it walks them through it one step at a time, naming the exact button on their screen. When it can't answer, one tap sends the question to us with the whole conversation attached.
Do I need to buy a special device?+
No. The till runs on a Windows PC or laptop you already have: Windows 10 and 11 64-bit use the standard build; Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 32-bit use the Legacy build. The owner app runs on iPhone or Android, waiter tablets run in the tablet's browser, and your customer menu and online store open on any device. There is no Mac, iPad or Android till. A thermal receipt printer is recommended but optional.
What happens when the internet goes down?+
You keep selling. Sales, refunds, pay-ins and pay-outs, tables and the X report work on the till without internet and sync when the connection is back, keeping their time and exchange rate. You can close the shift offline too; its Z report stays provisional until the close syncs. Reports, other tills' figures and saving changes in Management and Settings need a connection. After a first visit, the customer menu is also cached on the customer's phone. We've designed this around Lebanese internet realities.
Can I take cash AND card payments?+
Yes. Cash, card, Whish, OMT, store credit, split between them. Every method is configurable. Table records each payment against the sale; the money moves through your own card terminal or wallet. We don't take a cut of any of them.
What about VAT?+
Receipts include VAT line items if you configure them, and each sale stores the taxes and rates applied to it. The Tax collected report (net of refunds) exports in one click to a spreadsheet that opens in Excel. Table doesn't file with the Ministry of Finance or connect to a fiscal printer or e-invoicing system — the Tax collected export is for you or your accountant.
Do I need a tablet for every waiter?+
One waiter per tablet is recommended. Each waiter signs in on the tablet by picking their name after the shop PIN, and every order records who opened it.
Can I move my data out if I leave?+
Yes, while your licence is active: one-click backup downloads a full JSON of every product, customer, sale, and setting, and reports and customers export to CSV. Once the licence expires the app blocks the export screens, so download a backup before you stop, or ask us for a copy.
Do you offer hardware installation?+
Yes — it's built into every bundle. The Laptop and Touch Screen bundles ship with the cash drawer and receipt printer already configured, plus on-site installation and training.
What if I have just one cashier and one device?+
Then the online plan is all you need — $10 a month or $100 a year, and you sign up yourself in under a minute. The $150 Software Only bundle is for when you'd rather we came and set it up for you in person, with training and the first year included.
Do I have to talk to someone to start?+
No call or visit. Enter your shop name and mobile number and your shop account is created on the spot, free for 14 days, and the same screen shows the pairing code that connects the Windows app to your shop. Click Download there and the app picks the code up when it opens on the same computer; on another computer, enter the code when the app asks. It is valid for 24 hours, and after that you message us on WhatsApp for a new one. You can also create your shop inside the app, which pairs it straight away. If you get stuck, there's an assistant inside the app.
What doesn't Table do?+
It doesn't process payments, run as a till on a Mac, iPad or Android device, show orders on a kitchen display screen, or file with the Ministry of Finance. The full list is published at tablelb.com/features#limitations.
